Former Nairobi County Assembly speaker Alex Ole Magelo is dead.
Kajiado governor Joseph Ole Lenku while announcing his death said Megelo died while undergoing treatment at Nairobi Hospital.
President Uhuru Kenyatta mourned the former AFC Leopard chairman as an outstanding leader who worked hard to make Kenya a better country for all.
On his part ODM leader Raila Odinga mourned Magelo as a strong and fearless leader who stood up for the Maasai without apologies.
ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi said Magelo will be remembered for his immense contribution to the country’s sporting fraternity and his service in the public limelight.
