Jubilee MP’s threaten to impeach DP Ruto days after passing BBI

Jubilee MP led by leader of majority party Amos Kimunya, have threatened to impeach Deputy President William Ruto should he continue defying the president.

The MP’s said the passing of the Constitution Amendment Bill 2020 (BBI) was a clear indication that President Uhuru Kenyatta is supported by a majority of MP’s.

Kimunya asked the DP to change his loyalty or risk being removed via a vote of no confidence in the house.

He said he hoped the Thursday vote signaled to DP Ruto who has the numbers forever.

The leader of majority was accompanied by Majority Whip Emanuel Wangwe,Jubilee party parliamentary secretary Adan Keynan, Deputy Minority Whip Maoka Maore and the Minority Whip Junet Mohamed.

On Thursday, 235 MP’S voted in favour of the BBI, 83 rejected the bill while two opted to abstain from the vote making 302 the total number of MP who participated in the process.
