
Mogadishu – The Federal Government of Somalia restored diplomatic ties with Kenya months after cutting them citing violation of territorial integrity.
The announcement through the Ministry of Information said this was in keeping with the interests of good neighborliness.
Somalia’s Minister of Information Osman Dubbe said both Somalia and Kenya were striving to restore their diplomatic relations in order to ease tension and build the confidence of the two nations.
Dube however said there was no immediate summit between Presidents Mohamed Farmajo Uhuru Kenyatta, regarding the maritime case.
