Dead Nyeri businessman accused of killing his son Stephen Wang’ondu is free from all doing after the Directorate of Public Prosecutions dropped the charges.

The 75 year old man was alleged to have killed his son alongside James Mahinda, Eddy Kariuki, Raphael Wachira and Geoffrey Warutumo.

Prosecutor Duncan Ondimu in a court hearing said he had received the notification of the death of the suspect from Nyeri’s Outspan Hospital.

During the hearing, Justice Florence Muchemi ordered release of the deceased’s vehicle a Toyota Prado KBA 583B that was being held by the state as exhibit.

Cases against his co-accused will however continue.
