SIAYA – Police in Bondo, Siaya County arrested a man after reports he allegedly killed his 10-month old step child.
Jack Omolo, 25, is accused of kicking the baby after it wet his matrimonial bed, leading to the mysterious death of the child.

Police arrested the suspect on Thursday May 20 night in Nyang’oma sub-location within Central Sakwa location in Bondo sub-county, where he had gone into hiding after committing the heinous act.
According to reports, Omolo is said to have packed the childs remains together with his wife’s cloths before sending her away then went into hiding.
It is upon his wife reaching her parents home that the lifeless body of the child was discovered in her bag, prompting a manhunt for her husband.
The suspect is said to have escaped several police traps laid for his arrest over the past month, with the long arm of the law catching up with him yesterday night.
Area chief Mr. William Oreme said the suspect would be arraigned in court immediately as investigations into the matter had been finalized.
