Gospel artist Christopher Mosioma alias Embarambamba has come under sharp criticism after a video emerged of him dancing inappropriately with an unnamed lady during a night performance.
In the video that was captured by an unknown user, the comedic gospel artist Embarambamba can be seen grabbing a lady on the dance floor before lying her down and inappropriately ‘dancing’ with her.
The act lasts for about five seconds before the artists gets up and another man gets on stage to help the lady get up.
The musician then continues to lip-sync to his music that is blasting in the background in an event we are yet to authoritatively establish.
Twitter user Abuga Makori EGH, MBE says the musician was dramatizing his song “Ng’iwete naikire ime. Obwansu obo Ng’iwete“. (I have gotten inside, getting maximum pleasure) in reference to being born again.
Kenyans expressed their displeasure with the act with Kenya Film Classification Board CEO Dr. Ezekiel Mutua terming the incident as gross and that the musician had crossed the line.
Journalist Lofty Matambo said he was embarrassed after having interviewed the gospel artist on national television.
In a second video, Embarambamba grabs a man who appears to be drunk, puts him around his waist and performs on him the same sex like acts.
In his most recent interview on K24 TV, Embarambamba asked the government to help him acquire a music system that he will use to spread the gospel.
The musician who hails from Kisii shot to fame owing to his unique style of gospel full of theatrics where he rolls in mud, runs up and done and often climbing onto animals, trees or over objects.
