Officials from Kenya Power had cut-off electricity from the school over huge bill that had accumulated for years, prompting the school principal to seek the services of Okoth.

Family members blamed their kins death on the school stating that he had not undergone any training as an electrician to handle such a complex task.

They claimed the school’s principal Gordon Muga, contacted their kin and had promised him Ksh500 upon completion of the task.

Confirming the incident, area chief John Agoro urged officials from the Ministry of Education to inspect the conditions of electricity connections in the school to save the students from future accidents.
