NAIROBI – The Kenya National Highways Authority has asked Kenyans to keep off a section of Uhuru Highway in Nairobi Saturday May 29.
KeNHA through a notice warned all Nairobi bound traffic that it will close the road at Nyayo Stadium round about for road repairs.
The Highways Authority said the road will be closed from Saturday May 28 at 9:00pm to Monday May 31 at 9am.
This will allow the authority to complete installation of culverts in an ongoing construction for effective storm water drainage along the highway section.
Motorists were advised to use alternative routes such as Aerodrome road, Baricho road, or Dunga road.
To aid motorists maneuver around the closed section of the road, KeNHA said it will erect appropriate directional signs to ease flow of traffic within the City.
The authority further asked all motorists and pedestrians to observe safety measures implemented at the construction site.
