Migori Governor Okoth Obado has faulted his Members of County Assembly over their trip to Tanzania on official business.

According to Okoth Obado, the MCA’s were led by their speaker Boaz Okoth went to Tanzania despite his warning that the action contravened laid down measures against the spread of Covid-19.
Obado however noted that he has no power over the assembly since its an independent institution.
The trip comes amidst an impending impeachment of the County Assembly speaker Boaz Okoth by a section of MCA’s over what they termed as misappropriation of funds.
The MCA’s in a presser earlier this week in Migori town accused the speaker of misappropriation of over Ksh75 million they said he sought without their knowledge.
