The Energy & Petroleum Regulatory Authority board of directors has appointed Mr. Daniel Kiptoo Bargoria as the Director General for a term of three years.
This is after Mr. Kiptoo held the position in acting capacity since the year December 2020 and will begin his new term from July 1, 2021.
In a statement released by the authority, the appointment followed a competitive recruitment process in which he emerged the top.
The new EPRA Director General has vast experience in Energy and Petroleum sectors with a bias in policy formulation, regulation and project and structured finance.
He was instrumental in the drafting of the Energy Act 2019 and Petrolium Act 2019.
