Migori Youth FC come from behind to share spoils with MCF

Migori Youth came twice from behind to draw 2-2 with MCF in their Betika National Super League round 26 fixture played on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at Thika Stadium.

In the 18th minute, MCF almost rocked the boat in their favor but the ball went past the target. One minute later, John Ochieng converted for MCF from a corner kick leading the scores to read 1-0.

James Kasibante attempted to slide in the second goal for MCF in the 28th minute but missed the target by inches.

Migori Youth’s Hillary Ojwang attempted to equalize the scores in the 31st minute but the ball went over the bar, maintaining the scores at 1-0.

Seven minutes later, Tyson Omondi headed in a goal from a corner kick equalizing the scores for Migori Youth. At the brink of half-time, Hillary Ojwang almost netted in a goal for Migori Youth but missed the ball that Mark Ochieng passed into the area.

This closed the half-time scores at 1-1.

After the intermission, MCF’s Collins Onyango attempted to break the tie with his freekick shot that hit the crossbar in the 60th minute.Six minutes later, Emmanuel Otieno bagged the second goal for MCF after capitalizing on a successful delivery into the area.

Nine minutes to stoppage time, Ben Stanley levelled the scores once again for Migori Youth, sealing the full-time scores at 2-2.
