Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka has admitted that he is the father of an unborn child he sired with a woman after she sued him last month.

The woman demanded Ksh.25 million in child support for the unborn child in her three months pregnancy.

The court was told Wednesday, during a mention hearing that Lusaka had agreed to cater for the child’s pre-natal care with the promise that other issues would be settled once the baby is born.

Through her lawyer Danstan Omari, the woman is seeking Ksh200,000 monthly or a lumpsum of Ksh25 million.

She had claimed that Lusaka had declined to take up his responsibility by providing for her and the needs of the unborn child.

The woman also demanded that speaker Lusaka buys her a house matching the standard of where his other children are staying among other issues.

Through his lawyer Peter Wanyama, the Senate speaker told the court that he has been in talks with the woman and wanted the matter settled out of court.
