More needy but bright student’s have benefited from a scholarship by Victor Wanyama foundation to see them through their education.
Thirteen students benefited from this year’s scholarship programme which will cover tuition fee plus other costs for the entire four-year secondary school education.
The first beneficiaries of this programme sponsored by former Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama are now in form two.
News of the sponsorship wowed Kenyans who congratulated Wanyama for his ‘kind’ gesture and ‘working in silence’ to uplift the lives of the less fortunate through education.
Wanyama was recently stripped off the Harambee Stars armband with Michael Olunga taking over.
He however remains the captain of Impact Montreal in the Major League Soccer, MLS.
