Fingers crossed as Luanda Villa, Mara Sugar battle for NSL promotion in FKF Div I Zone B

Mara will play host to St. Josephs Youth while Luanda will invite Muhoroni Youth FC at home as both teams fight for Direct NSL spot.

It is still unclear as to which team will automatically qualify for the National Super League from the FKF Divison I Zone B.

This is after close rivals Mara Sugar FC and Luanda Villa FC both came out of today’s games will goalless draws.

Zone B leaders Mara Sugar failed to impress against Bungoma Superstars FC with both teams failing to score in the match that took place at Kiwanja Ndege grounds in Bungoma.

At Afraha Stadium Field C in Nakuru, St. Joseph’s Youth also held Luanda Villa to a barren draw, dimming their hope of automatic qualification.

Both teams now have one point between them where Mara Sugar lead in the league zone with 56 points followed by Luanda Villa with 55 points.

With only one game to go, the two teams are the only ones eligible for promotion where the leader will get automatic promotion.

Number two will head for playoffs with SS Asad FC of Zone A who finished second behind Naivas FC. Naivas qualified for NSL after the led the Zone with 69 points.
