He said Raila has able leadership from every region throughout the country to assist him in the Inawezekana tours.
The Orange Demotratic Movement (ODM) chairman John Mbadi Saturday urged Nyanza leaders go mobilize voter registration in their regions.
He said this during a door to door voter mobilization exercise in East Kanyamkago, Uriri Constituency.
He was in the company of area MP Mark Nyamita after a funds drive at Rapul SDA church.
While speaking to the press, Mbadi urged leaders from the region to stop following their party leader Raila Odinga around the country.
He said Raila had able leadership from every region throughout the country to assist him in the Inawezekana tours.
“Take this as a message from the party. We want you all to retreat to your homes and encourage our people to register,” said Mbadi.
The leader of minority party in the National Assembly raised concerns of low voter registration especially among the youth.
He urged leaders from the region to focus their energy in sensitizing the region on the ongoing exercise to realize more numbers.
According to the MP, Nyanza had registered very low numbers since the launch of mass voter registration by IEBC.
For instance, he reported one center managing to only register fourteen people Saturday, with few people turning up previously.
The party chairman said he will lead the exercise across the region to ensure an increase in voters from the current 2,688,086 .
The exercise is to be rolled out in the entire Nyanza of Migori, Homa-bay, Kisumu, Siaya, Kisii and Nyamira.
