An angry mob killed self-confessed child killer Masten Wanjala, days after escaping from jail.
Assistant County commissioner Cornelius Nyaribai said Wanjala died after the mob justice incident in Bungoma.
Wanjala shot into the limelight again earlier this week after news he escaped, on the day he was to go to court. Officers accused of aiding his escape were then arrested.
He was arrested in July this year following an increase in child kidnappings and killings.
