KISUMU – Deputy President William Ruto had a rough time in Kisumu Wednesday November 10 during his tour in Kisumu town.
Chaos began as DP Ruto made his way to Kisumu through Kondele when chaos broke lose.
Photos shared by Ruto’s Digital Strategist Dennis Itumbi showed several car windows allegedly smashed in the melee.
In a post on his Facebook Page, Itumbi blamed the chaos on a section of ODM leaders.
Police lobbed teargas to disperse a section of the youth who attacked DP Ruto’s convoy and others who wanted to block the route the campaign trail had taken.
But a determined Ruto pulled back the crowd earlier dispersed in the chaos and went ahead to address the residents of Kisumu.
Ruto called on unity of Kenyans even as he condemned leaders whom he insinuated had caused the chaos.
In another post, Itumbi claimed that DP Ruto’s own car was also hit by a stone in the rear glass.
“His car was hit by a stone too…. yaani some #AzimioLaMawe leaders sponsored people to hit the DP’s car…
“We remain undeterred in the journey of #PoweringDreams
“The RUARAKA Land THIEF and La Murder PS plus your PUPPET IG, we are watching your next moves…. Useless Political PUPPETS!” said Itumbi.
