KUPPET Endorse Uriri MP Nyamita for second term

MIGORI – Kenya Union of post primary education (KUPPET)Migori branch chairman Henry Otunga endorsed Uriri Mmber of Parliament for a second term.

Otunga said Nyamita is a true leader who valued the future of the youth and learners.

According to the union chair, he had moved around the constituency and Nyamita had a good record in both education and youth empowerment programs.

Calling on other aspirants to shelve their ambitions for Uriri constituency and back Nyamita so as to enable the constituency realize its full potential.

He was speaking during Tukuza Talanta 5th edition, an annual tournament where youths display their talent and win prizes.

The tournament began in 2017 soon after Nyamita was elected into office as a first term MP.

” I have been moving around the constituency due to the privilledge granted to me by the teachers performing my duties as their advocate but this has also given me the opportunity to listen and know their political interests on those they wish to represent them both at the county and national government.” Said Otunga.

“It would have been the desire of the people of Uriri constituency to see you Nyamita scale upwards and vie for a the gubernatorial seat but we support your decision to support the senator hon. Dr. Ochilo Ayacko for the position and we trust your judgement on the same.” He added.

His sentiments were echoed by county leaders and aspirants who graced the occasion led by the Migori County governor Okoth Obado and Senator Ochilo Ayacko.

“I want to pledge before all present here today that by electing me as the next governor, I will be a servant to all people from different parts of the county and to lead in the development projects.” Said Ochilo.

The governor on his end encouraged more youths to emulate their peers who had took part in the tornament noting it can pave way for them to get employed and to earn a living.
