List of UDA MP’s set to lose plum house committee’s in Jubilee Party Axe

Members of Parliament allied to UDA are facing the axe from parliamentary committees.

This is after the Jubilee party wrote to the members notifying them of the removal from their respective committees.

In a letter shared by NTV, the MP’s were notified by Jubilee about the party’s intent to discharge them from departmental committee’s.

The MP’s however have seven days to respond to the the notification before their formal removal from the committees.

Some of the leaders facing the axe are Laikipia Women Representative Cate Waruguru (Agriculuture Vice chair) and Katoo Ole Mitito (Chair Defence).

Others are David Gikaria (energy), Khatib Mwashetani (lands), ALi Wario (Regional Integration) Karake Mbiuki, and William Kipsang’.

Eldama Ravine MP Moses Lessonet is also on the copping board from the budget and appropriation committee.

Here is how the letter reads.

“Presuant to the Standing Orderes 176 (1) and 176 (2) you are hereby notified that the Jubille Party which nominated you intents to discharge you from the Departmental Committee…”

“You are hereby given seven (7) days to respond before you are discharged from the said committee,” the letter states.

Majority whip in the National Assembly Emmanuel Wangwe singed the letter shared by NTV.

The letter copied to speaker Justin Muturi and National Assembly Clerk Michael Sialai .
