FA Investigating Match Fixing on Arsenal Star

THE FA are investigating an Arsenal Star palyer over match fixing claims.

This is after a suspicious yellow card the player received in a Premier League game this season, according to reports.

Bookmakers reported ‘suspicious betting patterns’ surrounding the gunners star’s bookings.

Bookies flagged an ‘unusual amount of money placed on the the player receiving a yellow’.

The FA is aware and is currently investigating the matter.

“The FA is aware of the matter in question and is looking into it,” Athletic quoted The FA.

According to several gambling industry workers, the betting pattern is ‘highly unusual’.

It is however easier for players to manipulate games as they stand to determine the outcome of the games.

But the identity of the player is still a secrete as investigations into the matter continue.

Albert Sambi Lokonga and Granit Xhaka have received the joint-most yellow cards in the Prem for Arsenal so far this season with four.

Former captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Bukayo Saka are next on the list with three.

Gabriel, Thomas Partey, Rob Holding and Martin Odegaard have two each.

And there are eight more Gunners star who have picked up a solitary yellow.

Gambling claims in sports isn’t new.

England and Newcastle star Kieran Trippier £70,000 fine plus 10 weeks ban for a breach in December 2020.
