NA BADO! Government Denies DP Ruto Permit to hold Rally

The national government has denied DP William Ruto a permit to hold a rally over the weekend in Kirinyaga.

According to Governor Anne Waiguru, she couldn’t get a permit to host Ruto for a rally in the County on Saturday.

UDA and hustler nation rally Wang’uru stadium will take place elsewhere after the governor failed to get a permit.

But Waiguru expressed disappointment stating that meetings were being held at the stadium even after Mashujaa celebrations.

For instance, she called out PS Karanja Kibicho who used the stadium severally for his meetings after Mashujaa Day.

The governor said national government officers cited the stadium as incomplete to hold the rally.

“Was it complete during Mashujaa dauy, then it became incomplete. Was it complete when Kibicho was using it for public meetings and then it became uncomplete. This discrimination and not giving people a level playing field is unwarranted.”

However, she welcomed every person to attend the meeting at Thiba grounds and assured them of tight security.

Ndia Member of Parliament George Kariuki blamed PS Kibicho of blocking the Ministry of Public Works effort to issue them with a permit.

He however expressed confidence of an earthquake rally at Thiba grounds.

Both leaders spoke after a consultative meeting with Kirinyaga Members of County Assembly, (MCAs) Members of Parliament among other leader
