ODM, Jubilee Likely to conduct joint party primaries – Junet

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and Jubilee Party are likely to conduct joint party primaries ahead of the August general election.

ODM director of elections Junet Mohammed in an interview in Migori town Sunday February 6, said they are likely to conduct a joint party primaries under Azimio La Umoja coalition.

According to the Suna East Member of parliament, the cordial relationship between the two parties shall be extended into long term political agreements to form a formidable force.

But Junet said that ODM and Jubilee party are yet to sign a pact a head of the party primaries to enable discussions to continue.

This comes barely a week after Raphael Tuju, Jubilee party Secretary General, said the two parties had formed a committee to work on the terms of engagement.

Tuju who was on a voter mobilisation drive in Migori said that they are on the final stages of finalizing the coalition talks.

He said saying the formation of the coalition had taken time to ensure the terms of engagement took care of everybody’s interests.
