Here is a full list of Nyamira County Governor aspirants in the 2022 general elections
Amos Nyaribo
Born Amos Kimwomi Nyaribo, he is the current governor for Nyamira County. Nyaribo took office upon the death of first governor for Nyamira John Nyangarama in December 2020.
He first stint in politics was in 2007 when he unsuccessfully contested for Member of Parliament North Mugirango Borabu.

Later in 2013, he was elected as deputy governor alongside the late governor Nyagarama.
But prior to the 2017 elections Nyaribo had made up his minds to vie against Governor Nyagarama on an Amani National Congress (ANC) ticket.
This however changed when he changed his mind at the last minute and submitted his credentials to retain his position as Deputy Governor.
Following ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi joining William Ruto in Kenya Kwanza Alliance, Nyaribo ditched the party and will vie under Azimio La Umoja.
Timothy Bosire
He currently serves as the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) National Treasurer.
Bosire first became Member of Parliament for Kitutu Masaba in 2013 replacing the then MP Walter Nyambati. But the ODM allied politician lost to Jubilee Party’s Shadrack Mose in the 2017 general election.
Timothy Bosire wants to be governor Nyamira on ODM part ticket.

Ben Momanyi
Momanyi Ben George Oriri is serving his second term as MP for Borabu Constituency since his first election in 2013.
In his recent tweet, the Nyamira governor aspirant said his agenda will be based on a five point agenda namely:
•Health
•Road
•Water
•Education
•Youth and women empowerment.
Walter Nyambati
He was the MP for Kitutu Masaba between 2007 to 2013 when he lost to Timothy Bosire.
Samson Okioma
He was the MP for Kitutu Masaba between 2002 to 2007 on Ford People party.
Joseph Kiangoi
