
Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia will start teaching Kiswahili, Africa’s most spoken language.
It is spoken in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, DR Congo, Comoros, Rwanda, Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia and Burundi.
It is taught in universities in USA, Holland, Canada, Italy and Germany.
KiSwahili has 140 million speakers worldwide.
It is part of South Africa’s curriculum.
Botswana also announced plans to teach KiSwahili in schools.
