Wilfred Machage, former Migori Senator is dead

Wilfred Machage, the former Migori County Senator is dead.

According to reports from the family, the ex-Migori senator succumbed to an illness that he suffered while in Nigeria.

Born Wilfred Gisuka Machage, he was the first Senator of the great Migori between 2013 to 2017.

During his time in the Senate, he was a member of the Speaker’s Panel. He also served as the Chairperson, Senate standing Committee on Health.

Before this, he was the MP for Kuria Constituency between 2003 to 2012.

He was privileged to serve as Minister for East African Community in the Grand Coalition government. He also served as assistant minister for Health, Roads, Home Affairs and Office of the President.

Until his death, Machage served as Kenya’s High Commissioner to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
