Babu Owino Parliament Drama Forces Early Adjournment (VIDEO)

Parliament was forced to end prematurely Thursday April 14, 2022 after Embakasi East MP Babu Owino caused a stir.

The Speaker Justin Muturi adjourned the on going session prematurely citing gross disorder after Embakasi East MP Babu Owino refused to leave the chamber after his order.

This is after Babu Owino refused to leave the chamber on the speaker’s orderes as Wajir Woman Representative Fatuma Gedi was tabling evidence following her claims against Deputy President William Ruto.

Speaker Muturi had directed the Woman MP to back her claims -which she made on Tuesday- that the DP had grabbed land in four counties.

But as the MP was making her case, Babu Owino had a run in with the Speaker who ordered him out of the parliament chambers.

However, the Embakasi East MP refused to obey with Parliament orderlies seen pleading with him to comply.

At 5:20pm, the Speaker, citing Standing Orders, adjourned the House to May 10.

The House was set to adjourn today at 6:30pm to May 10.

Earlier Gedi had caused drama outside parliament as she dragged a bad full of evidence she was going to table against DP Ruto in parliament.

Speaker Muturi also dared MP allied to President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga questionning his impartiality to initiave impeachment proceeding against him.

The speaker however asked the said MP to stick within the law if they wished to go ahead with the impeachment.
