Gospel artist Kasolo threatens his daughter ‘nitakunyonga’

Popular Kamba gospel artist Stephen Kasolo has come under fire for threatening to strangle his daughter, “nitakunyonga”.

This is after a viral video of Kasolo emerged online where he was reprimanding his child after he broke a water bottle.

In the video, Kasolo is seen threatening a visibly shaken daughter saying “nitakunyonga” (I’ll strangle you)after the child broke the reportedly expensive bottle.

He also asked the little girl to explain to his audience (pointing at the camera) why she broke the bottle or else he would strangle her.

“Should I strangle you, should I kill you,” Kasolo is heard saying as he gestures the action.

Despite her father’s threats, the little girl assured her father of her love.

“I love you, daddy,” said the little girl amid sobs.

But Stephen Kasolo was forced to apologise for the ‘nitakunyonga’ remarks on his daughter following an uproar by his fans and other Kenyans.

Kasolo took to his Instagram account to offer an apology to his daughter Shine and his fans.

“I want to take this opportunity to apologise to my baby @shinekasolo and all our fans for the video which is going viral, I never meant any harm to my daughter and I never will, neverthe less it has brought alot of tension on social media. Kindly forgive me this will never happen again am sorry even before God,” said Kasolo.
