KPL – Bidco United football club players Tuesday took Covid-19 tests ahead of Kenya Premier League resumption on May 14.

This was to ensure all players were free from coronavirus and fit to partake in the league games.

Last month, players from teams participating in the KPL took their first shots of Covid-19 vaccine as had been directed by the Football Kenya Federation.

KPL league games were suspended in late March this year as Covid-19 cases surged in the country.

In an announcement by President Uhuru Kenyatta, new lockdown measures with a particular focus on high-risks areas, including the capital city Nairobi, as well as Kajiado, Machakos, Nakuru and Kiambu were set.

The games will however resume this week with teams being forced to play two games.
