Gospel artist Christopher Mosioma alias Embarambamba has defended himself after a video of him performing raunchy act emerged online yesterday.

In the video, Embarambamba was seen dancing inappropriately with an unnamed lady during a night at a place the musician has revealed was a night club.

In a second video, the comedic gospel artist grabs a man who appears to be drunk, puts him around his waist and performs on him the same raunchy acts.

This attracted sharp criticism from Kenyans who wondered the type of gospel the musician from Kisii was spreading.

Kenya Film Classification Board CEO Dr. Ezekiel Mutua termed the incident as gross and that the musician had crossed the line.

On the other hand, CAS in the Ministry of trade Trade David Osiany said the acts by the artist amounted to gross misconduct and were inexcusable.

Journalist Lofty Matambo said he was embarrassed after having interviewed the gospel artist on national television.

Twitter user Twitter user Abuga Makori EGH, MBE said the musician was dramatizing his song “Ng’iwete naikire ime. Obwansu obo Ng’iwete“. (I have gotten inside, getting maximum pleasure) in reference to being born again.

But the musician was quick to defend himself saying that he had gone to the club to spread salvation.

He argued that Jesus Christ came for sinners and spent most of his time on earth with them so that they could get saved.

He added that Kenyans did not understand the context of the song in question which he said was  condemning the immorality that people have been doing and forgetting their God.
