A Facebook user has raised concerns about racism incident that took place on a Modern Coast bus during one of its trips.
In a screen grab by the Modern Coast bus company on its Facebook Page, Regina Wanjiku claimed the racism incident took place on KCJ 861X.
Wanjiku said this happened during a trip from Kigali to Nairobi in an unnamed date where it made a three hour stop in Kampala.
The lady on her post cristened, ‘Rant Post’ said the bus then left for for Kenya before the incident was recorded.

According to her, as the bus approached Busia, “a mhindi passenger” boarded the bus and demanded that “one Kenyan lady passenger in business class section” is evicted from her seat.
“Driver ask the lady to comply, talk of racial discriminstion, the lady is adamant on keeping her seat. She paid for it,” reads the post in part.
It is then the the driver, in bid to force the lady to leat her seat for the ‘mhindi’, allegedly parked the bus for almost two hours.
But the bus finally took off, despite the lady passenger adamantly refusing to leave her seat for the ‘mhindi’ with Wanjiku accusing the bus driver of subjecting them to more time on the road.

“Kigali to Nairobi is 24 hours, 22 hours later bus is in Busia hoping to make it to Nairobi in 2 hours.
Modern Coast Express Ltd while sharing the ‘rant post’ apologised for the “unfortunate experience.”
They added, “At Modern Coast Express Ltd, we prioritize customer satisfaction and anything less than ensuring you are unhappy is not acceptable. We’ll issue a statement once investigation is over. #wearesorry“
But this post did not go down well with users, some of whom called out similar incidents when they used the bus company.
Francis Odhis: “Very serious allegations against you and you start your response with “Sema Kimeumana!!”. You think that’s funny?”
Boniface Raganga said, “I follow your page for comedy only. Your buses are run by thugs. Else, how would you explain 6 rude, idle guys (conductors) inside a single bus.I can only board your bus for distances less than 200km. Anything beyond that will leave you bitterly disappointed.I can not forget an ordeal when I booked to be picked on the way. Upon boarding the purported bus, the thugs kept kicking us off the bus and taking us back inside for up to 5 times . It was an involuntary circus experience.”
