In his statement, Achila urged parents whose children were already in Uganda to stay with them at home and at the same time advised those students who were in Kenya to seek alternative accommodation with relatives or stay in boarding facilities.

The RDC also banned the collection of students by bus from the border town of Busia in what he termed as “accurate implementation of the presidential directive.”

NTV Uganda reported that this was after a meeting by Busia District taskforce on Covid-19 at the district council hall that sought to curb the spread of coronavirus.
