Migori Youth FC players received a major boost after they all received a new set of boots and shin guards to equip them for their future National Super League games.
Julius Ayata, a resident of Migori town made the donation to the players in a surprise visit during their morning training session Monday July 12.
The team’s goal keepers also received a new set of gloves.
Other players from the team’s academy, Migori Youth Talent Academy who occasionally train with the senior team were also not left behind.
Speaking during the handing over exercise of the kits, Ayata said he had for along time admired what the players were doing and had wished to support them.
I have a deep passion kusaidia youths especially what they are doing right now kwa hii uwanja is such a good thing,”
So penye niko nimekuwa nikiwafikiria. Siku mingi nimesema siku moja nitakuja niwasalimie niwakabithi viatu za michezo na hata shin guards,” said Ayata.
He said the players were doing a good thing by placing the name of Migori positively on the international map by leading positive lives and exploring their talents.
Promising to support the team with a new set of uniforms in future, Ayata urged Migori residents and other well wishers to support the team, which is the only one from the region playing at the national level.
“Hawa vijana wanahitaji tuwapatie support
“Some of these boys, this is their career and they are actually not earning anything from this sport. Wanafanya tu because this is their passion
“So ni vizuri if tunaweza kuja as a society and let’s give them support,” said Ayata.
The donation was a morale booster for the boys who are preparing to meet Shabana FC in their next match.
