BREAKING: President Uhuru lifts dusk to dawn curfew

WANG’URU, KIRINYAGA – President Uhuru Kenyatta today lifted the dusk to dawn curfew.

This is just a day after hinting to the nation of the impeding lift as he entered Kirinyanga County for Mashujaa day celebrations.

President Uhuru also announced review of in person meetings from one third to two thirds of the congregation.

Kenyans at the Wang’uru stadium in Kirinyaga received the news with cheers and ululation as President Uhuru closed his speech.

“I hereby order & direct the nationwide dusk-dawn curfew to be vacated with immediate effect,” said President Uhuru.

On Monday, the head of state hinted of the date in an address to residents in Karatina Monday afternoon.

The President said, he and his team would work on ways of lifting the curfew. But he added that he did not want to speak too early on lifting the curfew.

President Uhuru also named continuous adherence to Ministry of Health guidelines as a key determinant for the lifting of curfew.

He also said that Kenyans were free to live as they wish, provided that they protect themselves from the pandemic that has killed millions worldwide.
