Migori County governor aspirants have come forward with only few months left to go, to the next general election 2022.
Several aspirants in Migori County have come forward in the race to replace current Migori Governor Zackary Okoth Obado
Obado is completing his two terms since election into office in 2013 on PDP party ticket and 2017 on ODM
Migori County has a population of 1,116,436 people with eight constituencies.

Below is a list of Migori County Governor Aspirants in the 2022 general election
1. Dr. Pamela Odhiambo.
Dr. Pamela Odhiambo is the current and second Women Representative of Migori County elected on ODM Party in the 2017 general election.
She left her job as a lecturer in the University to join politics in 2017.
Dr. Odhiambo is vying for Migori Governor 2022 on ODM party ticket.
2. Dr. George Mbogo Ochillo Ayacko.
Dr. Ochillo Ayacko is the current and third Senator for Migori County elected in a bye-election on ODM ticket
in 2018 following the death of Ben Oluoch Okello.
Ayacko unsuccessully vied against Obado in 2017 in ODM Party primaries before decamping to an Independent party and lost again.
Ochilo Ayacko is vying for Migori Governor seat 2022 on ODM Party ticket.
3. Dr. Philip Ogwari Mwabe.
Dr. Ogwari Mwabe is currently a businessman after retiring as a lecturer from The University.
Ogwari Mwabe first stint in politics was in 2017 where he vied for the Member of Parliament seat in Suna West but lost in the ODM Party Primaries.
Dr. Mwabe is vying for Migori Governor 2022 on ODM Party ticket.

4. Dr. Seth Odongo.
Dr. Seth Odongo resigned from the Mombasa county government to join the Migori gubernatorial race 2022.
He is vying on ODM party ticket.
5. Hon. John Dache Pesa.
Hon. Dache Pesa served as MP for Migori Constituency from 2008 to 2012 before devolution.
Pesa then tried to unsuccessfully vie for the Suna East MP post in 2013 but lost in ODM party primaries.
He vied again in 2017 but lost again in the ODM party primaries.
He is vying for Migori governor 2022 on DAP-K party.
6. Hon. Kennedy Okongo Jamirogi.
Little is known about him before joining the Migori gubernatorial race 2022.
He is vying on the ODM party ticket.
7. Hon. Dalmas Otieno.
Dalmas Otieno served as the MP for Rongo upto 2017.
He resigned from the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) to vie for the Migori governor seat.
Dalmas Otieno is vying on Jubilee Party ticket.
8. Hon. Rebecca Ghati.
Rebecca Ghati served as a CEC member in Migori County from 2013 before resigning this year to join politics.
Ghati is vying for Migori governor seat 2022 on UDA party.
